Mexico tourism is a very a large industry and is considered one of the biggest in the world.  

Today, Mexico in terms of the international tourist arrivals is considered the number one destination within the entire Latin America region and is ranked as one of the top International destination worldwide.  

Mexico's tourism is comprised of archaeological, sunny beaches, colonial cities, bio diversity, including now automotive and aerological among other vibrant industries. Whether you are looking for a quick getaway or are looking for your next living destination or to learn more about the precolonial history, Mexico has something to offer everyone.
According to Mexico's Tourism Board, below are 10 facts about Mexico's tourism:
  1. Mexico remains the no. 1 international travel destination by all American travelers.
  2. Mexico is one of the 10th most visited destination by all international travelers worldwide!  
  3. Mexico achieved over 22 Million visitors in 2011.
  4. Mexico continues to experience year over year increase (2012) by travelers of 145 different countries.  
  5. Mexico continues to increase the number of air travel carriers that fly into Mexico. To name a few international airlines that have flights into Mexico, are: British Airways, France XL, Lufthansa, KLM, Delta, American Airlines, Avianca, Taca, LAN, Cubana Airlines, Cup, Sunwing, West Jet, Air Canada, Air Transit, Alaska Airlines.
  6. Mexico tourist destinations continue to have lower crime rates than many other prominent tourist destinations around the world.
  7. Cancun and Puerto Vallarta ranked as the no. 3 and no. 8, respectively, family summer destinations by Travelocity.
  8. Cancun was ranked as the no. 1 destination by Orbitz insider index summer travel report.
  9. Mexico ranked in the top 20 spa destinations, worldwide by Conde Nast Traveler poll.
  10. Mexico holds 18 AAA 5 Diamond awards, from lodging to dining.
